I saw these guys at ELBO Room (per a friend's request) back in March. They are ill. They wear crazy uniforms and jump and dance around like idiots. GREAT!! They are the only band I have see in San Fran that is clearly having more fun themselves than anyone in the room, and I had a ton of fun. They made me jealous; they are the kind of band that makes you want to be in a rock band.

The Chop have a unique sound, a kind of Talking Heads meets Bruce Springsteen meets The White Stripes, plus vocal harmony. If I had to compare them to a San Fran band it would have to be The Phenomonauts. They are way awesome.
