"Surviving their junior high and high school years with the likes of grunge, early indie rock, punk, hardcore, and riot grrl, the members of Finest Dearest have a common vision of bringing passion and honesty back to today's music. A flurry of influences such as Pavement, Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth and Cursive have planted the seeds for the fuzzed out, bittersweet, and highly melodic sound that Finest Dearest has worked hard to cultivate.

In early summer of 2004, the band began practicing in a basement bedroom, hashing out concepts and ideas. Since then, the self-proclaimed dark indie-pop band has infiltrated the local music scene playing most of San Francisco's most popular venues, including participation in the San Francisco Mission Creek Music Festival in 2005 and 2006. The band has played shows in southern California, Sacramento and all over the greater Bay Area."
