Daytrotter Sessions

Fun are an indie pop group based out of New York City that formed in 2008. Their sounds is highly energetic and youthful. Their vocals (and general vibe) are very reminiscent of Queen. Their name certainly describes with accuracy their style and its apparent goal: their music is unpretentious and incredibly catchy.

When Nate Ruess' earlier band The Format broke up around 2008, he teamed up with Steel Train's Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost (of Anathallo) to make Fun. Ruess' musical history remains an influence on Fun, whose sound is often compared to that of The Format.
