Powerpop indie group Get Him Eat Him came out of Providence, Rhode Island in 2004. Their influences include ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead and Guided by Voices--but I must add they sound much more like the later, poppy and more produced GBV than the earlier lo-fi GBV. Their Wrens-type appeal is in-your-face pop that has youthful and loud boyish vocals on top of simple, catchy instrumentals. Get Him Eat Him use their 1990s indie pop influences to create extremely enthusiastic, bouncy tracks.
