Bands are often defined solely by sound. The ethereal electronica of French band Kwoon is best experienced through the animated masterpiece for "I Lived On The Moon" (See YouTube). Watch it and try not to be affected. Bandega Interview with Sandy Lavallart of Kwoon (March 2010)Home is where the stress is.Q: How have your shows changed over the years? Has your perspective on performing live changed? A: Testing different sounds, differents effects on guitar or keyboards, voices and discovering some new interesting sound frequencies on stage. Q: Describe the most memorable live show you've played. A: The first one, because it was the most ugly/horrible show for us, in front of 100 pepole. Bad sound, stress. So, very memorable. Q: What venue do you consider to be your "home", where you feel most comfortable, with the crowd and the place itself? A: Everywhere but Paris, where we live, because we have a lot of fans and friends in Paris. Even if the crowd is crazy, we don't want to make a bad show so we're very serious. In the other cities and countries, we're very relaxed and I think our best shows are in these places. Q: Describe the most enjoyable show you've ever experienced as a fan. A: The last one was with Patrick Watson. At the end of the show, he came and played in the crowd. And everybody was sitting on the floor. That's so kind! Q: Is there a North American tour planned in support of "When the Flowers Were Singing?" If so, what cities do you anticipate playing? If not, what is it going to take to get you all out to San Francisco? A: We would love to play in the U.S. because we've more fans than in France. It's funny. We will look for a tour booker in US soon, I think. |
