Mika Miko are a punk band that formed in Los Angeles in 2003. Bad Brains and Black Flag, for instance, served as a couple of their primary influences (among others). Their influences combine with Mika Miko's unique approach to punk to produces a sound that mixes more traditional punk instrumental techniques with crazy, group, fem vocals. Mika Miko have stirred up a huge following with their incredibly fun but also impressive approach. Mika Miko mixes punk with noise, dance and a entirely separate genre of their own that is reminiscent of riot grrl bands such as Bratmobile, with a little new school girl punk in there too, akin to Pens. Mika Miko broke up in 2010, but they live on as an incarnation of contemporary girl punk flare. These women are real, and you don't want to mess them.
