"Patrick Dyer Wolf has been trying to figure out what moniker to use since British alt-popster Patrick Wolf burst onto the scene in the early 00's. Growing up in the depths of suburban New Jersey, Patrick had almost no choice but to listen to Hootie and the Blowfish and take up the guitar.
In high school he contributed vocals and guitar to the jammy rock quartet Electric Dharma, taking the north-Jersey-fundraiser and Manhattan-private-school-dance scene by storm. He spent four years at Middletown, Connecticut's Wesleyan University, playing with The Control Group, The Slutty Bumpkins, and Snowblink. In the summer of 2007 he packed his useful belongings into a 1989 Buick LeSabre and drove to San Francisco, stopping only to take pictures at spots marked 'Scenic Overlook.'"
