Radiohead are quite possibly the most successful, most popular indie band of all time. They have redefined what it means to be indie by becoming so successful within the mainstream label world that they were able to break out of it altogether. They now dictate their own terms, and have taken over the production and distribution of their music.

Their music has been described, at one time or another, as: emo, rock and electronic. But really, being arguably the most popular indie band of all time, there's probably no need to describe their music.
