There are some bands fronted that, after listening to them for a while, you're surprised to discover that they're actually Irish or Japanese or Peruvian. Not so much with We Were Promised Jetpacks. Vocalist and guitarist Adam Thompson need only do a quick sound check to confirm that he is from no other land than Scotland. It's very apparent.

We Were Promised Jetpacks are high energy, guitar-driven rock. Their music is at times brash and combative, and at other times, sentimental and affectionate. A great introduction: "It's Thunder And It's Lightning" off of their debut album, These Four Walls".
