"Whysall Lane started as a solo project for Richard Baluyut. Killing downtime as singer and guitarist for NYC's Versus, Richard walked the plank with his 'other' original songs as well as the odd Depeche Mode cover. Richard moved to San Francisco in 2001 and hooked up with ex-Jawbreaker drummer Adam Pfahler and SPCA Cat Behaviorist Mikel Delgado (on bass, formerly of the Little Deaths and Cinnamon Imperials). During the seventh inning stretch at a Giants/Mets game, they decided to make it a real band. After selling out countless telephone booths and playing shows with such luminaries as Sleater-Kinney, Mission Of Burma and Imperial Teen, and touring with Jets To Brazil, the band decided to get into the studio and hammer out their set. It was released February, 2006 on Blackball Records." |
